This Privacy Policy describes how Sun-Oka Fruit Farms Ltd. (“we” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our website www.sunokafruit.com  (the “Site”). 

 

Your privacy is important to us. It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across the Site.

 

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.

 

Any personal information we collect from you is used by us only for the purpose of communicating with you as well as for the delivery of your purchased product. Your credit card and/or debit card information is used for the sole purpose of billing you for products and services.

 

Payment processing services for our Fundraising program are provided by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe“) and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe is a Tier 1 payment processor (the highest level of security) that transacts billions of dollars every year for some of the largest companies in the world. 

Payment processing services for our online direct sales program are provided by Shopify Payments. 

 

At no point does Sun-Oka Fruit Farms have access to, nor do we store in any way, your credit card or debit card information. 

 

We only retain collected personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. All collected information will be permanently deleted from our servers after all sales and deliveries have been completed each season.

 

During the short period we will be storing your data, we protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. Of course, no computer network or data transmission on the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and so you submit your information at your own risk.

 

We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law, and with the following possible exceptions:

  • Payment processors engaged by us to handle payments information, such as credit or debit card information

  • Providers of email management and distribution tools 

  • Providers of security and fraud prevention tools and services ​

  • Providers of shipping and delivery services

 

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we will be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
